Chidinma Ekile, 22, has said winning the Best African Artiste Award (female) category at this year’s KORA in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, is the best thing in her career. She hopes to consolidate on the achievement to have a deeper penetration of the international market.
The plaque was presented to Chidinma by former Chelsea FC striker, Didier Drogba. She beat Omawunmi and five other African artistes to the honour. The awards ceremony, held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, had international stars, Chris Brown, Rihanna and P-Square in attendance.
“It was a huge honour to me. I’m grateful to God, my fans and people, who have been part of my success story. Winning KORA is a big achievement for me and I know it is the beginning of better things to come,” said Chidinma
